The quarantine authorities will set up temporary screening centers in about 150 areas in the Seoul metropolitan area for three weeks from July 14 so that anyone can undergo inspections if they want.

The move is aimed at strengthening quarantine management by expanding diagnostic tests in the Seoul metropolitan area, where about 70 percent of the total confirmed cases are occurring, fearing the seriousness of the current Corona 19.

The quarantine authorities said they will set up temporary selective care centers in about 150 areas in the Seoul metropolitan area where there is a high risk of coronal outbreak so that anyone who wants a diagnostic test can be examined quickly regardless of whether there are any suspected symptoms or not.

Temporary selective care centers apply sample collection method PCR inspection method, and if desired, they can receive saliva test PCR or rapid antigen test instead.

However, if a positive reaction is confirmed by a quick antigen test, a non-invasive PCR test will be conducted.

In particular, citizens visiting temporary selective care centers can undergo anonymous tests that provide only personal mobile phone numbers to check the results of the test to prevent unnecessary stigma effects during the Corona19 test.

Meanwhile, the quarantine authorities plan to deploy appropriate sample collection and operation support personnel to facilitate the installation and operation of the temporary selection clinic, and to strengthen public relations such as campaigns to help citizens receive more active inspections.
